30th Year Reunion Meeting
Kinky's House
1-27-99, 7 p.m.
Well fellow classmates & classmatettes, we had an executive board meeting of the Class of 69 Reunion. Those present were: Mary Kay Bryan-Jones, Linda Creech-Moser, Martha Sue Newsom-Smith, Hans Kenton "Kinky" Guenzel and John William Vinson. Susie Craig-Carter was supposed to come but her sister Mary had to play golf in Little Rock the next day???? We decided on a date for the 30th year class reunion. Then we changed it. The official date is July 23 & 24, 1999. The Batesville Country Club is the place. Exact times will be decided shortly.
We will have a social mixer on Friday night at the Batesville Country Club and then a sit down dinner (as opposed to a stand up I guess) on Saturday night with a highly entertaining program MCed by the one and only Hans Kenton Guenzel. In spite of the fact that we didn't elect him to high office in High School, he, with some reservations agreed to MC the dinner once again. Mary Kay said he didn't have good enough grades in high school but Kinky pointed out that John Miller was the Sophomore Class Vice President. Mary Kay patronized him a little more and he agreed even though he said he was not a good public speaker. There will be a cash bar and we will have a dance following the dinner with the music provided by none other than myself (there will be lots of Lesley Gore, Little Anthony & the Imperials and other such vintage music). There could possibly be some surprise entertainment.
In keeping with the times, there will be posted on our Class of 69 website, a PDF format registration form to print out and send in with the fee.
Our first order of business is to locate as many classmates as possible. You can help by looking here (http://www.bhs1969.com/bhs/missing.htm) and see if you know where some of the missing live or work. Please e-mail me, jvinson@bhs1969.com or Kinky, kenmarg@cei.net if you have any information concerning their whereabouts.
We are also entertaining the idea of inviting our old teachers that are still around. We thought of Mrs. Henley, Mrs. Newton, Mrs. Felts, and there are others. We will discuss that more next time.
Our next meeting will be on 2-10-99 at Kinky's house at 7 p.m. We welcome any input.
Until next time:

John
