E-Mail Notice 3-7-99
Hey everyone, Firstly, I would like to welcome Gwen Cason to our group. I finally gave up on Martha Sue getting her correct e-mail address and called Linda Creighton at the bank. It seems I was spelling Gwen and her husband John incorrectly. It is gwnjon instead of gwenjohn. What's the deal with that anyway Gwen? Of course, Martha Sue's e-mail address is lesudian (I don't even want to go there) Looks like our reunion meeting for Monday night is on. I heard from MSS electronically and she gave the go ahead. I hope Kinky is reading his e-mail so he will know we are coming to his house. We will decide how much to charge at this meeting which will probably take about 2 hours. Hey I have been working on the website. I put pictures from the 20 year reunion on (and a picture of my first car, not the VW microbus). You can get there by clicking on the 30th reunion link or try clicking here: http://www.bhs1969.com/bhs/20yr.%20pictures.htm (I'm not sure everyone's e-mail program will pick up the % as a space; it's technical jargon stuff) Anyway hope you enjoy them. If anyone has any old pictures I can put on please send them to me. I will take good care of them and return them promptly. A somewhat sad note from the old Hometown. They are as we type, tearing down the American Motor Inn. Our family ran it until 1992 at which time we sold it to some foreigners. They ran it down and the City Inspector closed it a few months ago. I have some great memories from that place. It sure was a good place for a 16-26 year old boy to grow up (My Dad finally kicked me out when I was 26; the nerve) Lots of good parties there. I will try to get by with the old Digital Camera and take a few pictures of the demolition. Batesville has moved to the big time. We got a Baskin-Robbins albeit located in a quickmart (AKA stop and rob). It is located across the street (Harrison St.) from the old Guenzel's Esso station (now a Jaxx Station). Well I have just finished all my Sister's family's tax returns and am going to bed. I'll post the results of the meeting late Monday night. Peace,
John |
