Hey Classmates,

Long time no hear. Haven't been on much at home and still working at night to catch up but have a break in the action so thought I would catch you up on the goings on around town and some of my personal life.

Danny's restaurant is on the front page of the paper. I put him on our inthenews page but here is the direct link: http://www.bhs1969.com/news/ddozierlhrestroad.htm
The opening date is sometime in early 2000.

Things have been pretty calm here in the big city lately. Not a whole lot to report. Arkansas Eastman is going to lay off a bunch of people but haven't heard how many in Batesville. What's up with that Lynda & Gary?

I saw Mark Kay in Wal-Mart this week and she is recovering nicely from her knee operation. I asked her if it was a Cheerleader related injury but she said it was a skiing injury. I guess I'm just stupid but I don't understand taking a vacation to somewhere it is cold and you can get injured. Send me to FL or CA any time.

If I can beg your indulgence for a minute I am going to get a little syrupy.  Sue Anne's dad passed away last week. Sue Anne, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Losing a parent is a very tough time in your life. My dad  died in 1986 and I know how you must feel. Unfortunately I never got the chance to tell my dad all the things I wanted him to know, especially how much I appreciated all the things he did for me growing up (those butt whippin's weren't for nothing). I suppose that is a common occurrence (not the butt whippin's) but I made sure that I did tell my mother. You really don't realize what a sacrifice parents make until you become a parent. For those of you with parents still living, make sure you tell them how you feel before it's too late. They really know, but it is nice to hear.

Well my amateur golf career endured a minor setback this year. Last year I finished 6th in the state and this year dropped to 19th. I must be working too much or it could be these teenagers worrying me (it couldn't be cause I'm getting older???). Anyway, whatever it is I did not make the Arkansas Cup Team for the first time in 3 years. Can I get a boo hoo?

Havent' heard much from the rest of you lately. Martha Sue emails me to check on me; Kinky has finished his new Home on the Lake; Vaughn Blue sends bits of wisdom occasionally; Nancy Burdick says CA is getting crazier, and Patsy Lee sends me a tremendous amount of jokes (Patsy please narrow it down to the funny ones). Patsy send info on her recent trip to Key West and I am going to post her letter after I send this mail out.

Well got to work on our website. Thanks for all the monetary and emotional support you all have sent.

Hoo-Roo
