Well it's done. Our official website is now http://www.bhs1969.com or as they say on TV bhs1969.com I made the move this weekend. I left a forwarding page on the old site but just add the new site to your Favorites (is it Bookmarks in Netscape, I use Internet Explorer, someone has to pay those utility bills at Bill's new house).

Well news from classmates. I only had 2 guesses from my last email about which cartoon character said "Hey, Hey, Hey". John Miller and Vaughn Blue both guessed Yogi Bear. The correct answer is "Fat Albert". Yogi Bear said "Heeeeyyyyy Boo Boo".

Heard from Sue Ellen Lupien, Martha Sue Newsom, Doris Hobbs, John Miller and Patsy Lee. I posted their messages on the new Chat page (http://www.bhs1969.com/Chat.htm). I never did hear from Harold about the Hurricane in SC but the last email didn't get returned so I presume that it was received and East Carolina University is still a viable institution.

Didn't get an answer to my writing style English question directly but MSS talked to Ms. Smart (that would be Illene Pierce-Smart, all our kids call her Ms. Smart) and she said it was the JWV style. MSS also asked her some English questions about turkeys being done or through and you can see her response on the Chat page. MSS also listed more classmates that have sent money to fund our website. I still get questions about where to send money. Martha Sue is handling the cash and we have an account at the bank. You can send your tax deductible contributions to Martha Sue at her address; 3191 Anna, Batesville, AR 72501.

Well my quest to make the Arkansas State Golf Association Cup Team is progressing slowly. I went to Rogers this past weekend because generally the field is weaker in the north part of the state (too far for the LR golfers to drive). Well much to my dismay, the entire University of Arkansas Golf Team was playing in the tournament. It is hard for us "fat bellies" to compete with the "flat bellies" but I finished 8th and gained a little ground on my goal. Two more tournaments left to play.

We've had a couple more wrecks at 20th & Harrison. I'm not sure where the state hired the genius that designed the stoplights but there is no left turn arrow for the westbound traffic on Harrison (for you women that would be leaving Tommy's going toward the Sweden Creme). There is always a long line waiting to turn left and no room to stop when cresting the hill.

Sue Ellen pointed out that our class picture is not hanging in the hallowed halls of BHS. I told her we had some influence since David Bell is on the School Board. David, What's up with that?? Can you put it on the agenda for the next School Board meeting?

Well closing for now. Get a little Shut-Eye.

Peace,

John
