Surprise, surprise, surprise it's me! The latest on the big city and other goings on. I went to CA to school the week of Thanksgiving. Saw Nancy B on Sunday when I got there and went to Brunch with her and her Dad, Les. We went to a restaurant by the Airport called the 24th Squadron. It had a WWII motif and the food was great. It was a welcome meal after my Airline food. Thanks again Nancy. I then traveled about 30 miles north to Pleasanton and went to school M-W. I returned on Thanksgiving day. Every night on the SF news it was traffic and airports, give me the small town any day. BTW Becky, Atlanta was mentioned quite a bit when they talked about airport busyness. A trivia question? Look at the police officers from 1952 on the front page of the Guard (http://www.guardonline.com) and tell me which 4 of the 6 were still working for the BPD when we were in High School. Nancy sent back some Starbucks Mints with me to give to Linda Creech. BTW Linda just got her a new Firebird. (Go granny go granny go granny go!) I dropped by and visited with Linda and James Ordie Davis at the eyeglass place. I should have had my eyes checked while I was there. The fine print is finally getting too fine for me to read. I went to Kinky's Monday night and he helped me winterize my Seadoo. His mom remarried and she and her husband are moving and Kinky had a room full of antiques and memorabilia that his mom had given him. (Like he needed it, his house looks like the Smithsonian already) My wife and I visited with Kinky and Mary and looked at all the stuff. We haven't been to his lake house yet but saw pictures and it looks really nice. Kinky and Mary put a lot of work in it and are finally getting to spend some time up there. A little love nest in the woods. Went by to see MSS at the bank. I needed a little sibling banking assistance. I wonder how old your kids are when they learn to keep up with a checkbook balance and that Telebanker doesn't know about outstanding checks. I haven't made much progress on the website lately. As they say in the Military "No excuse Sir". I do plan on getting the profiles up to date. I haven't heard from anyone lately except for Patsy and Vaughn's jokes. (They are a contrast in content, I can tell the Vaughn jokes to my mother.) I suppose everyone is getting ready for Christmas. It's not quite as exciting since my kids are grown up. I miss seeing the excitement on their faces Christmas morning. But it is nice to have them around for a few hours (There's no where for them to go and hang out). Linda Vinson e-mailed me about the layoffs at Eastman but she didn't know a whole lot about the plans. Well I'm headed to the college to do some Computer updating. I do it on Saturday mornings because, guess what, the kids aren't up then. Imagine that?? Let me hear from you, Peace, John
