EMail Message 4-1-99

Well I got an email (I think that is the correct spelling in the dictionary now) from Martha Sue. It stated: "Are you dead?"

I have been really busy lately (that is what I say when in reality I have just been too lazy to write). Whatever the case, there just hasn't been much news to report lately. I did put some new pictures on tonight called Miscellaneous #2 (http://www.bhs1969.com/bhs/pictures%20misc%20old.htm). Thanks to John Vaughn Miller and his new scanner. Also thanks to Lyon/Arkansas College 1972 Annual which I happened upon at work. I also threw a few more of me in. I promise that is about it for me (I do have one more if I can find it).

The reunion invites should have reached everyone by now (Nancy Burdick got hers and other than Sue Anne and Jerry Frazer (Paris, France) she is the furthest) We were hoping everyone would immediately send their money in and we could draw interest on it and have a big party but so far none have come.

We have only had 5 invitations returned. One is Grant Williams, Kinky can you talk to Mark (Grant's younger brother) and get Grant's current address? Also got Karen Ingram's returned but it does have an address correction so I will be returning it shortly. Danny Brooks, Benny Simmermon and Brenda Wade also came back. Not too shabby, think we sent out about 80.

The American Motor Inn is almost completely down. Just the motel office and sign are left and scheduled to come down this week.

I sent our email list to the Batesville Guard and Julie (the Webmaster at the Guard) called and said she was going on vacation this week but will put us on next week.

Oh yeah, Martha Sue called me and asked what TTFN meant. For those of you that haven't experienced the please of taking small children to Disney movies, it means Ta Ta For Now (from Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too).

The Discussion Group thingy is going okay. Would Be nice if more participated and kind of caught us up on what's going on in your life.

My wife left today for Al B quirk E, NM for a nurses convention. My son and I are batchin' it till Sunday so the fast food places will have additional business. That reminds me of Illene's story that the way she called her kids to dinner was "Okay, everybody in the car".

Well take a look at the new pictures, send me some pictures and gab a little on the Discussion page and I will keep you posted on the goings on here.

TTFN,

John
