E-Mail Notice
April 30, 1999

It's me again Margaret.

Two new email members, Linda Davidson-Arnold and Grant Williams.

Well have some news and thought I would report. Heard from Grant (Dick Clark) Williams today. Grant do you still look like you did when you graduated? I informed him that we actually did try to send him an invitation but the USPS decided the address was insufficient. He works with a guy that knows Cathy Clements (remember her and the houseboat on the river?) sister. Maybe we can get in touch with her.

Becky Ford-Doster's parents got some new neighbors this week. The Auto Zone family. I saw your mother this week Becky; she was sweeping the driveway. I had forgotten how much you look like her. I'm sure they are excited about having an auto parts store planted right next to them. They had to dig out a few tons of dirt to level up the hill.

Heard also from Martha Sue and she got three responses; Vaughn Blue, Derrell Hawkins and Linda Davidson-Arnold. So we will at least have 8 people attending. Nancy B tried to give me hers but I told her I might lose it and anyway Martha Sue would like to get it in the mail. Linda Davidson-Arnold has an e-mail address and I am adding her to our list. That makes 33 of us on the list.

Martha Sue also told me that Illene has been wearing SAS shoes for a long time, so they must be in style if Illene is wearing them?

I am just getting through putting the pictures I took on my trip to CA, TX & UT on the website. A professional photographer I ain't, but some are okay. I taught my kids to always have the subject close so the picture would be interesting but do I do that? Not. Anyway here is the quick link if you don't want to rummage through the website: http://www.bhs1969.com/bhs/picture_links_page.htm

I mentioned previously that Sue Anne's invitation apparently fell off the dogsled on the way to her. Well Sue Anne I didn't get the replacement out this week but I am typing with one hand and hand addressing with the other. Here is the address I am using: 1724 East Ridge, Anchorage, AK 99501. Hopefully you will get this one. Please verify that this is the correct address. I will wait to hear from you before I send (sorry I accidentally deleted your previous e-mail you sent with your correct address).

Additional news, Batesville has the #1 Sonic in the nation and now the #1 Taco Bell. Ain't we something? New stuff going up everywhere. BTW (remember computer talk for By the Way) if you are in Batesville on a weekend, you should make a concentrated effort to visit Danny "D'Rock" Dozier's establishment, The Depot Diner (website: http://www.depotdiner.com). It is located on Lawrence Street in the old Train Depot (hey is that where you got that name?) Anyway the food is great and he has a variety of entertainment every weekend. Everything from Bluegrass to old rock & roll to Elvis Presley imitators (Batesville's own Billy Shelton and he is good!). Batesville is lucky to have such a place and it is a real hotspot and definitely worth the trip. (Okay Danny do I get my free meals for a month?) Seriously, it is a really neat place to go, puts all the Hard Rock Cafe's to shame.

Ken Jones hasn't resent the pictures to me. Don't know what happened to him? What happened Ken? If you can send them in JPEG (aka JPG) format. That is the best format for photos on the web.

I am toying with the idea of shaving my beard. The gray is getting more prevalent and I look like Festus Hagen. I think I'll shave it and wait for the entire thing to turn gray. Any thoughts?

Well go to go to bed. My lovely wife (Cecilia) and I are playing in our first golf tournament of the year this weekend so I have to get rested up so I will play good and keep our marriage in it's current blissful state.

Happy Trails,

John
