RECAPITULATION
Friday night classmates started arriving around 6:30 p.m. Everyone had to put on a name tag because as you can imagine we have all weathered a little over the past 30 years. It was funny to see all the guys that had changed their names since high school. There was Jim Doherty, Jack Sharp, John Miller, etc. I asked them where the my, ie and ny went? Free beer and wine and several hors d'oeuvres (I always have to look that up to spell it correctly) were served. Everyone mingled around and visited for several hours. I got to see Steve Henry for the first time in 20 years and we reminisced about "Red Facing"(that's when we used to drive around in my 63 Chevy Nova, listen to the Turtles on my 8-track and sing so loud that our faces turned red). I think I got around to most everyone to at least say Hi and see how they were doing these days. I was glad to see Amy Standridge-Gratta made it back. For those of you that don't know Amy showed up on June 25th, apparently she sent here invitation back and didn't note the dates. She took the kidding really well. Then about 10:30 I cranked up the music a little and we listened to music from the 60's. Gary Issac kept wanting me to play belly rubbin' music so I tried to comply. Shortly the beat went on and we all got to dancing and singing. I brought 3 microphones cause I knew we had some real singers in the group. Saturday night we were suppose to have the picture taken at 6 sharp but it was hard for everyone to stop their visiting and get outside. It took a while to get us organized in a group and the photographer kept having trouble with the blonde chick in the black dress (that would be Nan Vinson) because she kept hiding behind the person in front of her. Well I am closing for now and will continue later.......... |
