How do you summarize 30 years? I feel I've lived
several lifetimes. There is the 20 years of marriage and 2 children lifetime. How did they
get so old while I have stayed so young? Wade graduated from MIT (he must have gotten my
brains cause I don't have any left) and is an engineer for Schlumberger in New Orleans.
Matt is playing high school football and enjoying life (not as studious as his brother).
We lived in several different places among them Washington DC
where I worked as receptionist for Congressman Bill Alexander. Got to see Robert Redford
in the hallways of Congress, tour the White House and watch Nixon's resignation.
Learned how to scuba dive and dove in the Gulf of Mexico and
loved it. Notice past tense. My accident occurred in 1983 and 3 subsequent neck surgeries
didn't completely repair everything so I've been on disability ever since. However I did
use the times wisely and finished my college degrees and finished my marriage.
Today I am taking care of Matthew and tutoring a few students in
math and enjoying life.
