Dear Mature Pioneers,
It was great to see so many of you at the 30th reunion. Having missed the previous two, it was a real "flash-back" in memory for me! Great to see so many of you. Home for us now is Atlanta, Ga. If you're ever through, please give me a call. We're in the phone book. The past 23 years with Dan Doster has been an adventure. We've lived here, there and everywhere and now have returned full circle, back to Atlanta, where we met and married some 23 years ago. to say the least, Atlanta isn't the lovely, southern city we left. Dan and I have three incredibly wonderful children. Amanda is in her second year at Brown University in Providence , RI where she is an Eng. Lit. major and plays violin in the orchestra. Meredith is in her first year at Barnard/Columbia University in NYC, majoring in music/French. All three of the children are fluent German speakers and the girls are fluent in French as well. Our Robert, will turn 13 soon and is a 7th grader at the Atlanta International School. Robert is our native tongue German speaking child, so we though it was time to bring him back stateside to learn his true mother tongue. I continue to enjoying my calling as a teacher. I'm blessed to teach in a wonderful college prep school here in Atlanta. Prior to Atlanta, I taught at the Berlin British School in Berlin Germany where I was assistant headteacher. Life with an opera singer has and is interesting. Dan now is devoting more of his time towards conducting and concertizing, instead of opera as he was on the road continuously. Enough was enough for Dan who is a real homebody! So we're back in Atlanta, back in the USA after 7 years in Europe and re-settling back into the American way of life. My parents continue to be in good health and Dad enjoys his position as a City Alderman immensely. What a blessing for him after retirement! They still live on Harrison Street and have yet to have a wreck backing out of the drive-way!!! What a miracle! Would love to hear from any or all as time permits. I'll try to respond as I can.
