LINDA HAWKINS-COOPER After graduating high school I started to Nurses school in Memphis but quit at Thanksgiving and came back home to work at the North Arkansas Clinic for the next 6 years. I got married 2-28-76 at Hardy. We lived there 3 years and had Ashley in 78- in 79 we moved to Moberly, Missouri and in 80 I had Amber. We lived there 3 years then moved to Cameron, Missouri where I had Alyson in 83 and Joel in 85-which made our family complete. I stayed home most of the time with the kids while my husband worked. IN 87 We moved back to Batesville for 2 years -then in 89 moved here to Perry's home town in the historical house he grew up in. IN 93 I finally made it as a nurse and graduated RN school after all the kids were in school! We now have 2 in college -1 in high school and Joel will be in high school next year-it's been a busy time raising 4 kids!!! People are always asking me where I am from with my southern accent--I proudly say Batesville, Ark! |
